The emphasis of the training is expected to be focused in the areas of clinical laboratory animal medicine and program/facility management. The ASLAP Foundation summer fellowship program is intended to provide the student with a 10-12 week concentrated exposure to the practice of laboratory animal medicine that combines both didactic and experiential training. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide awards and scholarships to veterinary students who have demonstrated an interest in the practice of laboratory animal medicine. The ASLAP Foundation is incorporated in the State of Illinois and is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
